FROZEN SHOES

Having been heavily influenced by popular culture, Lennox wanted to create something that referenced the ideals around celebrities and the evolution of the term ‘Heart Throb'. The ideals around celebrity culture have been ingrained into our worlds and influence us and our opinions around art, fashion, and politics.

Through art, Lennox was keen to create a connection between the celebrities and the viewer and embody the concept of our celebrities being normal everyday people like us as well as us idolising them as god-like figures; you see this in taking an everyday object, such as the shoe, and turning it into something so unobtainable. In using the shoes of icons past and present, he has created not only art but something close to an artifact in a museum, frozen in time.
